With a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, I have built a robust career in software and data engineering. Currently, as a Software Engineer II at Foursquare, I enhance workflow efficiency by transitioning data orchestration processes to Apache Airflow and optimizing Airflow and Spark jobs. Previously, at BitLab Banja Luka, I developed a DBT-based pipeline for SAP data centralization and designed a custom migration tool for Snowflake environments. At Vega IT, I contributed to building an AWS-based reporting system, leveraging technologies like Snowflake, AWS Glue, and Apache Airflow. As a Co-Founder of DigMeni, I innovated restaurant menu solutions. My freelance experience includes developing time management applications and intuitive mobile apps using Spring, React.js, and Flutter.   Actively involved in the transition of data orchestration processes to Apache Airflow from various orchestrators, contributing to enhanced workflow efficiency. Working on the development and optimization of Airflow and Spark jobs to drive cost efficiencies. Providing ongoing support to data engineers and collaborating with the team to ensure streamlined operations. Monitoring and maintaining data pipelines in different environments (Airflow, Luigi).

• Software and Data Engineer · BitLab Banja Luka04-01-2023

  I developed a DBT-based pipeline to centralize SAP data from multiple facilities, replacing manual XLS file processes. Utilized Snowflake for data warehousing, with Snowflake pipes ensuring real-time data ingestion. Designed a custom migration tool script for seamless transitions between Snowflake environments. The consolidated platform now empowers management with easy access to unified data through dashboards, enhancing decision-making and efficiency. Onboarding of new colleagues that continued the development of the platform. I have been responsible for designing and development of complete mobile application in Flutter intended for owners of facilities (restaurants, shops, local markets) that are using our ordering application. Partners app is still in early phase (<100 users).

  As a Data Engineer on the team, I contribute to building an AWS-based reporting system that delivers a secure and scalable data lake house solution, combining a data lake and a data warehouse. Our solution supports multiple data sources and leverages technologies such as Snowflake, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and Apache Airflow for data processing and orchestration. My responsibilities include creating CI/CD, monitoring data fetching and ingestion, and developing ETLs using Dataflow templates while following best architectural practices. I also contribute to building a core package that will be used across other projects, ensuring seamless integration and reusability of our solutions. The Data Lake serves as a centralized repository in Amazon S3, allowing us to store structured and unstructured data at any scale without preprocessing or structuring it first. Our team focuses on delivering a robust and efficient system to meet the growing data processing and analytics needs of the organization.
