After graduating from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor's in Business Administration and working several years in marketing, I made a career transition into software engineering that has now spanned over five years. My engineering career began with a focus on frontend development, which quickly evolved into full-stack roles as I gained experience and honed my skills in React, Rails, and MySQL. I’ve genuinely enjoyed developing my craft and attribute much of the professional success I’ve had to my natural bend toward solving problems with an attitude of opportunity. I’m grateful for the breadth of experience I’ve had on professional path in such a short time; I’ve had the privilege of working with small startups to major corporations like Meta. At Codazen, I was contracted by Meta to enhance their high-traffic sites during a critical period, where I played a key role in driving a 10-fold increase in user sales and boosting engagement by 48% through strategic redesigns. At BuildBook (a startup), I led the creation of a component library that not only standardized our processes but also reduced user churn significantly. I found each environment rewarding and quickly learned the value of clear communication. Throughout my career, I've been recognized for my ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring seamless communication and successful project outcomes. Played a key role in a churn reduction project, addressing customer pain points by reorganizing key app features and developing a QuickBooks Integration Wizard, which significantly reduced user setup time. Served a critical role in leading discussions and united various internal stakeholders.
