  Worked as Software Engineer as part of the Content Management System team in adding new functionality and improving User Experience (UX) for all our users. All features develop on my roles as backend or frontend developer are being used by thousands of clients and tens or hundreds of thousands of clients of clients. Backend role: develop new endpoints and optimize existing ones using Django, Django REST framework and PostgreSQL. Frontend role: develop user interfaces with React, Redux, Material UI, styled components and Typescript. Main contributor to project with 100% test coverage and Typescript with strict mode.

• Lead Developer · Unalengua02-01-2021 – 06-01-2022

  Created a phonetic transcriber with top-class UX from scratch that it is been used by user across the world. Backend role: Building, deploying and monitoring two Restful APIs from scratch in Flask and ExpressJS. The first API (Python) was designed to provide the core functionality of the system: Transcribing input text from 10 different natural languages to International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) Characters. The second API was designed to provide Text-To- Speech (TTS) capabilities to the system. Backend role: Integrations with AWS: S3 and Polly services, as part of the TTS API. Database design schema in Postgresql, monitoring server performance. Frontend developer role: Build a Single Page Application with Vue, Vuetify, vue-cli, turn it into a PWA/Jam-stack and publish it to Apple, Google and Microsoft stores. Build a Chrome extension based on the same PWA. Product owner role: identifying the issues to solve, elaboration of the problems into issues, prioritizing them into the backlog, constant communication with the team members, decision making

  Worked as part of the team responsable of modules like reports, filters, tables, exports and dashboards inside Pipefy's product. Worked on a big Rails monolith system. Both on legacy code but also implementing new functionality. Using Postgresql and Graphql. Backend role: Work on a new feature Formula field that provides excel like calculation capabilities to the Workflow system (Main system) built with Rails. Adapt and extend current Restful API to support new Formula Field. Adapt and extend existing Graphql API to support new Formula Field. Frontend role: Build and fix dashboard features and bugs with React, typescript, cubejs and recharts. Features like support for Running total calculations and horizontal bar charts.

  Worked onsite UCSF Cardiology research building. Building big multi-tenant Ruby on Rails system or what they called Eureka platform. Among other things I collaborated in: Integration that consists of extending the existing open-source Survey’s module (core functionality of the system) with the Admin authentication (Two Factor Auth) so admins could also fill out complex forms. Extend existing Restful API, built with Rails, that communicates with native iOS and Android apps to support new admin survey functionality Coordinate with principal designer to develop a Design System. Develop user interfaces using Component Driven Development with Ruby and Vanilla Javascript. Integration of micro frontend built with React and D3 into main Rails app. Provide mentoring to junior developers.
