About

Genevive Phommarath is an illustrator and graphic designer who creates pieces that seek to spread awareness of social issues concerning womens rights, mental health awareness, and racial inequality. They create works for UX/UI design for websites and advertising, as well as paintings and drawings for their own business. Born from immigrants from Laos and raised for the majority of their life in Denver, Colorado. They found a love for creating artwork at a very young age and are currently studying Digital Design at the University of Colorado Denver. They love working with 2D assets in various Adobe products (photoshop, illustrator, Indesign), They also have a developed skillset of coding in HTML. Besides working with various programs, Genevive spends her spare time painting, drawing, photography, and writing. They regularly explore and actively seek to improve their art, whilst experimenting and exploring different mediums of art. These mediums include ceramics, paper mache, and photography. Along with their practices of visual artistry, Genevive advocates for charities that support the homeless, and the LGBTQ community, and access to reproductive education and resources. During their time in the International Baccalaureate program, they created a fundraising campaign where they would create drawings and donate a hundred percent of the revenue towards the Center of Reproductive Rights. Through this experience, Genevive strives to continue advocating for issues in a similar fashion as they did while they were in the International Baccalaureate program.
