I’m a Computer Science and Informatics specialist based in Johannesburg-open to move, with a strong foundation in software development and system design. I focus on building clean, reliable systems and APIs that can actually be used in real-world applications across web and mobile platforms. Most of my work leans toward backend development. I’m comfortable working with languages like C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, and Python, and I’ve built systems using technologies such as ASP.NET, FastAPI, and relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL. I pay a lot of attention to how systems are structured, making sure they are easy to maintain, scalable, and not unnecessarily complicated. I’m especially interested in areas like financial technology, data-driven systems, and intelligent applications. This includes things like working with data, integrating external services, and building systems that can connect real-world events, such as news or market movements, to actual outcomes. I also spend time exploring AI from a practical point of view. I prefer building things from the ground up and understanding how they work, rather than relying too heavily on external libraries. That approach has shaped how I think about problem-solving and system design. Overall, I try to keep my work simple, clear, and effective. Whether I’m building an API, designing a backend system, or working on a full application, the goal is always the same: create something that works well, is easy to understand, and solves the problem properly.
