  Provided support regarding upcoming Farm Bill proposed legislation by reviewing the draft recommendations, providing written and verbal feedback on strengths and weaknesses of those recommendations, offering relevant edits, and suggestions. The consultant will met with Defenders staff periodically to advise on strategy and attend meetings with the coalition and Congress as needed and mutually agreed-upon. The focus on the legislation was on the areas of conservation, small farm programs and risk assessment.
