About

Public policy analyst with strength in critical thinking and an interest in community development through equity in education and justice systems. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park with a major in Public Policy and a minor in International Development and Conflict Management. Through his policy training and experience in fellowships with the US Department of Energy, Maryland General Assembly, and Office of the Montgomery County Executive, Jonathan has developed proficiency in grant writing, data collection & analysis, along with skills in qualitative and quantitative research. He has also gained software experience with Canva, Excel, G-Suite, and Adobe Suite. In the future, he hopes to combine his interests in education, racial equity, and social justice to create progressive policies for minority groups.

  Protected the organization and its trade partners by enforcing compliance with Federal, State, and Local wage laws, as well as Union and PLA requirements. Created economic opportunity within Clark communities by ensuring trade partners meet all goals around worker utilization and small business subcontracting. Generated, certified, and submitted all Clark craft employee Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs), as well as subcontractor CPRs in a timely manner. Managed all prevailing wage related document collection and review for Clark and our trade partners. Performed detailed cross-checks of payroll submissions against other project documents to ensure proper payment of wages to all craft workers.

  Tracked developments, announcements, and policies coming from the Biden administration related to the Inflation Reduction Act, Build Back Better, and news in green energy. Constructed and analyzed databases for long-term projects; Field research through multiple interviews and surveys for articles in the company’s weekly digest. Constructed over 100 Excel spreadsheets for the publication of workforce data out to the company’s constituents. Organized client and internal meetings including setting up meeting space, creating presentations, drafting agendas, writing memos, and organizing meeting materials. Monitored wind and water energy issues that impact Maryland. Handled logistical support for an array of items including managing outside vendors and subscriptions and helping manage SSTI expense reconciliations.
