Two marathons taught me that the most effective strategies are developed under pressure. This is the same principle I apply to enterprise AI. As a Machine Learning Engineer, I appreciate volatility, and I thrive in uncertainty. While most perceive the shifting AI landscape as chaos, I see opportunity. An MSc in Statistics gives me the training in statistical learning, while the practice I have gained over the years gives me the scars. I have learned that the most antifragile AI systems are built when you understand the math and the mess. - I have built AI that works when it actually matters. - I enjoy the messy components of data pipelines, the intricacies of model architecture, and the human aspects of attaining AI systems. - I have taught and mentored 30+ people into Tech positions, and I make the difficult topics understandable. Like those final miles of a marathon, the best AI breakthroughs happen when others quit. I do my best thinking with pencil and paper, away from screens; often during walks to Niagara Falls where clarity meets complexity.
