About

Experience across multiple disciplines such as Print, Motion, Branding and Interaction. She has her BFA with honors from The College for Creative Studies based in Detroit, MI. Lucy has previously interned at Digitas North America, and freelanced for Birmingham Public Schools. When she’s not designing you can find Lucy wheel throwing for hours on end, meeting with her bookbinding cohort, or enjoying an oat milk latte from her local coffee shop.

  Working as the sole designer in the creation of an identity system for a new marketing consultancy business in the educational sector. Leading all parts of the process from research and concept development to the actualization of the brand in its deliverables and the creation of a comprehensive brand guide.

  Selected as part of a four-person cohort at Small Works to learn traditional hand bookbinding techniques. Collaborating to promote greater awareness and appreciation of this craft within the book arts community.

  Common Noun is a zine co-founded with a group of Detroit designers, myself included. The zine is focused on fostering creative collaboration through community-driven, inclusive, and locally focused content.

  Involved in all aspects of customer service and front of house duties at this busy and popular city center coffee shop. Working in a service industry role has helped further develop my in-person communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

  Worked as the sole designer on the Birmingham Public Schools Strategic Report Publication over several months as part of their overall website and district re-brand.

  Collaborated with a team of four other students on a 15 week ground up brand design for the client. Contributed as both a designer and strategist and gave multiple client presentations and checkpoints.

  While collaborating with the Detroit Historical Society we created a meaningful and authentic experience representative of Detroit Indigenous people’s stories. This then became part of The DHS museum’s exhibit during the fall of 2022.
