About

Michael has been working with design, brand, and culture throughout his career, shaping concept and form that play across a variety of landscapes—from brand identity to digital products and the modern web. He strives to work with passion, emotion, and clarity, and feels that good design should support goals and ideals while also being beautiful and curious. That design can’t solely be informed by data as it’s intrinsically emotional, multifaceted and at times opaque. And that good work comes from work that matters. He has designed (and designed creative teams) for San Francisco Ballet, Salesforce, Subaru, Gap, Sony Pictures, Cisco, PBS affiliate KQED, Room and Board, MetaDesign, Malaria No More, Paul Hawken, Adobe Press and Stanford University Press.
