With a background in UX Design and experience as a Circulation Assistant at the Nashville Public Library, I have honed my skills in user experience and customer service. I am passionate about creating positive user experiences and fostering meaningful connections with clients and patrons, and I create each of my designs with a special focus on including marginalized groups and disabled communities. When I'm not working on design projects, you can catch me writing or reading fantasy books, or spearheading community garden projects!

• Circulation Assistant · Nashville Public Library02-01-2022 – 08-01-2024

  - Oversaw and streamlined circulation of 350+ books per day by facilitating proper scanning, processing and shelving while simultaneously maintaining updated status of over 100 holds per day - Engaged with 150+ library patrons to understand their information needs and provided personalized assistance and empathetic support, fostering positive relationships with regular library users on a daily basis - Initiated and designed library branchs first community garden, creating a more visually appealing space for the community along with creating learning opportunities for children - Researched proper gardening methods and best seeds for growth, ensuring communication with library manager to ensure materials would be ordered on time, and caring for plant nursery until raised bed could be built outdoors, resulting in a harvest of 6 different species and over 200 individual vegetables - Received honorary mentions within systemwide employee newsletter on 7 separate occasions due to participating in over 20+ different library webinars, classes, and meetings per year, and representing library branch in various staff events and contests

  - Organized sensitive documentation of 1,000+ patients per day by ensuring patient profiles were up-to-date and accurate while keeping constant communication between patients, insurance representatives, and administration to ensure all services would be covered - Delegated between various healthcare practitioners and reception staff to ensure clear communication throughout patient interaction, resulting in streamlined process of 125+ visits per hour - Assisted non-English-speaking patients throughout documentation process through the use of phone-in interpreting services, bridging any communication gaps between hospital and patient
