  How might we create technology for enterprise and public good clients, mentor junior designers and integrate research and design to drive impact? Led hypothesis-based design research and development for enterprise and government clients, resulting in successful launches of web and mobile applications, including a digital pricing application for retail client, service design to streamline order management for an industrial manufacturer (business case for MVP resulting in project extension), leading design and research of mobile application for aviation company, and customer experience products (chatbot, clinical decision support platform, and Long COVID platform) for a federal government agency. Led product manager and UX design for internal InfoSec application, resulting in MVP scheduled to launch in January 2024. Analyzed and improved messaging for UX services and created sales deck on ResearchOps, resulting in increased client engagements. Created content for and coordinated final version of the Responsible Tech playbook for delivery teams as co-lead of working group, resulting in adoption across company, public promotion by company CTO, and eventual client work at the United Nations. Performance partner and mentor for three junior UX designers, advising on career development, evaluating performance, and providing emotional support. Contributed to multiple sales proposals, resulting in securing continued engagement at a federal client.

  How might we create technology for the public good, help teach design to civic tech entrepreneurs and help build capacity for community-based organizations? Civic Hall is a community space for the civic tech community in New York that helps design and build technology and capacity for the public good and helps others do the same, using a variety of programs to help people make systems change in their communities. My work was part of the Health Lab, our R&D non-profit at Civic Hall Labs (within Civic Hall). Led research, product design and strategy for ReferNYC, a $1.6 million Open Data exchange and API for health and human services providers. Managed development team and owned daily relationship with the main client in a multi-stakeholder engagement, co-facilitated community-centered design sessions and conducted interviews to obtain requirements and created user stories and product roadmap. Successfully secured grant and eventual purchase by the City of New York. Designed and taught curriculum on user research and prototyping for Civic Xcel civic incubator; spoke publicly on equity-centered community design in civic tech. Delivered the open data exchange pilot, helped teach the power of UX design, and helped build out our product design process within the organization.
