I am a Computer Science major with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence at Northeastern University in Boston, MA and originally from Chattanooga, TN. I have a passion to do software engineering and have already completed work experiences via co-op at two different companies. I am proficient in Python, Java, and AWS and enjoy working in roles where I can use these technologies.

• Software Engineer Co-op · Chewy01-01-2023 – 06-01-2023

  Represented best-in-class Fraud & Abuse prevention engine to protect customer accounts and prevent fraud with frictionless user experiences while working with a group of software engineers and data scientists. Built a blocking rules engine from the ground up using Java, Jenkins, and AWS that acts as a blacklist/whitelist automatically approving or denying orders based on order attributes when customers go to checkout their cart. Productionized the blocking rules engine which resulting in 675 orders to be auto approved and 98 orders to be auto denied in a month – these stats will only go up as time goes on providing an increasing rate of business value.

• Developer Co-op · Bain Capital01-01-2022 – 06-01-2022

  Designed a full stack application with a group of developers on the Lakehouse Platform Scrum Team enabling users to better manage, store, and analyze large scale data from multiple different sources. Developed a working data lake using multiple languages such as Python, React JS, and TypeScript to communicate with Snowflake and other software applications in both the front end and the back end. Configured and developed a serverless architecture model using a multitude of AWS products such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, AppSync, Step Functions, Amplify, CloudFormation, IAM, Cognito, etc. Involved with every phase of the software development life cycle of the application using Octopus Deploy and Azure DevOps to ensure successful deployments across various tenants and users.

  Designed a PDF and Excel parser in Snowflake using SQL and Python to perform reconnaissance in order to detect incorrect values for financial documents. Communicating closely with the Bain Capital Real Estate team to construct design strategies and to move the project out of the POC stage into a deployable product that various finance teams can use.
