Experience

• Software Engineer · Educating Young Eyes Research Group03-01-2021

  Lead and supervised a team of 2 developers and 2 UI/UX designers to redesign the EYE website using Agile methodologies. Designed and had complete ownership over the QuickCheck RESTful API which serves as the backend for QuickCheck's mobile application, data portal, and user management service. Built a Nuxt.js data portal to display a vision screening result list collected from QuickCheck mobile app for 20+ school nurses and optometrists. Deployed the backend to AWS EC2 cloud service and hosted with pm2 and Nginx. Optimized the random letter algorithm which helped decrease the generating time by 90% and ensured that no same letter is selected in a row. Created a file system that is being used to store and retrieve users preferences and data from users devices local storage. Implemented email sending service to send results to users inputted email address. Developed a state management system to be used across the QuickCheck mobile app.
