  Full-stack developer for a SaaS mid-sized company offering corporate learning management (LMS). Designed and developed service features, product features, testing and tooling, fixed defects, wrote technical documentation, managed customer support. C#, Asp.net, SQL Server hosted on company owned servers. Near the end of my time researched .Net Core, AWS, and SOA to split our monolith into microservices.

• Senior Software Engineer · Art.com/Walmart Labs07-01-2018 – 08-01-2020

  Designed and developed key back-end service components enabling a tech stack transformation to modernize our e-commerce platform. Led development of backend data pipelines, data stores, and services that e.g. supported product search, product configuration (not trivial with wall art where there's thousands of variations for a single image print), product catalog. Java 8, Spring Boot/Batch/Integration, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, SOAP/REST APIs. Integrated our catalog with Walmart 3rd Party Marketplace using Walmart Labs' merchant partner API, created patented process (data pipeline) US-20210383311-A1. Art.com was acquired in February of 2019 by Walmart, I continued work as a Walmart Labs member on our catalog, using machine learning and data science techniques like neural networks, vector search and image processing to continue to improve search and catalog. Acted as liaison and carried out development on machine learning techniques provided by an ML scientist from Walmart Labs.

• Senior Backend Engineer · Kea Cloud Inc.09-01-2020 – 01-01-2022

  Worked at a VC funded AI startup (series A), our goal was to provide QSR restaurants (regional, national, smb) the automation solution for taking customer calls, especially for the purpose of phone ordering (e.g. calling Domino's). The team I joined was 3-person engineering team which grew to a core 6-person team with an offshore augmentation of 10 developers. I gained experience in practically everything, implementing our back-end Node.js Express web services, enhancing and fixing our Chrome extension front-end used in our call centers, created customer automation workflows (bots) using Twilio also telephony services, ported a legacy api from python flask to node.js express, designed conversational workflows and fixed nitty gritty integration issues with Twilio. As the team grew I also took on non-technical responsibilities, such as writing interview questions, conducting interviews, mentoring and onboarding, new engineers. By the time I left I was team lead to a group of 5 offshore engineers, worked closely with vp of engineering and product managers to plan product road map for the following year.

• Systems Design Engineer · Amazon.com05-01-2022 – 04-01-2023

  Designed, implemented, and managed AWS Glacier's server access reconfiguration and created an automated tool to manage this process. Researched and designed a plan to update our code review process to rely more on automated tooling, reducing ongoing engineering cost. Worked with Amazon internal systems, as well as AWS tools like IAM.
