About

What you need to know? - Bachelor of English with a Minor in Philosophy - Master of Information Science (Dec. 2025) - Graphic design, marketing, and social media experience - Leadership in event marketing and alumni relations - Passion for writing, branding, and story telling What I'd want you to know? I'm a creative strategist and communicator with a passion for storytelling, digital design, and building meaningful connections. I currently lead marketing and outreach efforts for the Texas A&M International University Alumni Association. I've developed campaigns, managed social media, coordinated events, and built brand engagement from the ground up. With a background in English and Philosophy and a master's in Information Science, I bring both critical thinking and data awareness to every project. Whether I'm designing promotional materials, analyzing engagement data, or launching alumni campaigns, I always aim to make ideas resonate. I'm interested in roles that intersect design, data, and purpose: digital marketing, content strategy, UX research, or backend data support roles that power user-first experiences. Outside of work, I am a runner, a writer, a painter, a storyteller, and someone who believes deeply in showing up both creatively and consistently. Let's connect. I am open to learning, collaborating, or finding new opportunities that align with growth, intention, and impact.

Experience

  • Media Manager (Admin Associate IV) · Texas A&M International University09-01-2024

As a Social Media Manager at Texas A&M International University's Office of the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, I lead creative marketing efforts and content strategy to drive engagement and foster community within the alumni network. I collaborate closely with stakeholders to craft dynamic campaigns across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, increasing engagement and visibility for events and initiatives. In my role, I manage a variety of projects—from leading the marketing for the All Majors Networking Event, which saw a significant increase in both student and mentor attendance, to planning targeted campaigns for the Alumni Association. I specialize in using digital storytelling to strengthen connections and amplify messaging, with a particular focus on content creation, data analysis, and campaign strategy. I am proficient in Adobe Suite, Premiere Pro, Blender, and SEO best practices, and I continuously strive to integrate data-driven insights to enhance performance and improve outcomes. With a background in English and Information Science, I have a unique combination of creative and analytical skills that allow me to develop content that resonates with audiences while also measuring its success. As I continue to expand my expertise, I am currently pursuing opportunities to pivot into more data-driven roles, with a strong focus on data analysis and backend development, to further enhance my strategic decision-making abilities.

  • Office Assistant · City of Laredo Parks and Recreation - Aquatics05-01-2024 – 09-01-2024

During my time as an employee for the City of Laredo, I served as an Office Assistant for the Parks and Recreation Department's Aquatics Division. In this position, I was dealt the responsibility of providing both customer service and support for the largest pool in the city while maintaining clerical duties after public hours. Other than ensuring that all attendance at the pool was accurate alongside the corresponding tender count, I had the responsibility of transferring up to $1,200 per day after public hours to begin a deposit process. During the summer of 2024 I have increased profits for the pool by over 20% by ensuring my deposit process was accurate and honest. Though clerks may be viewed as average peons within the Parks and Recreation department, I gained valuable experience that allowed me to be better at maintaining client-service relations, increasing gross revenue for the largest public pool in Laredo, and providing both my clients and coworkers a positive work environment.

  • Freelance Graphic Designer and Video Editor · Cinco A Design01-01-2021 – 03-01-2024

In this remote role, I undertook the challenge of embracing a freelance workload while completing my undergraduate degree. I built up a rapport with several clients across the United States with interests in creating digital content without the skills or time needed to dive into the creator space full time. We dedicated time to developing a brand across online media that they would want to share towards their audiences. With a vision in mind, I devoted myself to creating personalized content in the form of short form videos, social media graphics, and other forms of digital art for each client to use as they saw fit. In one case, I took an account and raised their engagement by over 200% through the production of videos that were released at specific intervals of time. These initial engagements yielded a 30% increase in cross platform engagement from social media platforms like TikTok and YouTube to live streaming platforms like Twitch. During this role, I have become incredibly well versed in Adobe Suite programs such as Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and After Effects, while also gaining the foundations to utilize 3D modeling software like Blender to up the production value of projects for my creators.

  • Part-time Sales Associate · University Co-op08-01-2019 – 02-01-2020

In my first experience with retail work, I had several tasks which included, but were not limited to using computer systems to check stock of books and clothing, completing purchases on the cash register, reporting to management to restock products on the floor, and clean the stock room and lounge of the workplace. I was able to utilize rhetorical skills to provide patrons with the best possible experience with the flagship store for University of Texas at Austin related products. Developing positive workplace relationships to complete tasks in the most efficient manner possible was a huge part of this occupation.

  • Cashier and Food Prep Service · TCBY02-01-2019 – 08-01-2019

In my second experience with food service, I was able to further develop my communication skills on a daily basis while servicing consumers to give them the best experience possible while eating TCBY's desserts. A big part of this occupation was being able to give customers an experience that would encourage them to become regulars. I developed many positive relationships with customers during my time here and it was overall a very positive experience. I learned more about the value of a dollar under this position as every shift I was responsible for closing; tasks included cleaning the entire restaurant to maintain a clean workspace as well as working with computer systems to do an income check at the end of the night.
