Hi, I'm Courtney! I'm a UX/UI Designer whose unique background in neuroscience, human behavior, and biology helps me combine analytical thinking, behavioral insight, and creativity to craft user-centered solutions. In my recent work with nonprofits, I’ve contributed to the design of mobile and web-based platforms that support global initiatives of sustainability and accessibility. I have supported the earliest stages of product development- shaping initial design decisions through user flows, wireframing, and high-fidelity mockups. I also bring hands-on experience with user research, prototyping, and usability testing to ensure solutions are both effective and impactful. Across every project, I draw from research, empathy, and a human-first mindset to create experiences powered by people, purpose, and pixels.

  Lead UX design efforts for the Filipino Sign Language (FSL) Dictionary project by guiding a team of UX designers, ensuring cohesive visual design decisions across the mobile platform.

• UX/UI Designer · ACCESSIFIERS2025-04-01 –

  Design a mobile-based Filipino Sign Language (FSL) video dictionary, aiming to improve Deaf education, accessibility, and language standardization across the Philippines. Create information architecture, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups to guide stakeholder alignment and support early feature development. Collaborate with a cross-functional team of developers, designers, and Deaf organizations in the Philippines to ensure inclusive, user-centered design.

  Design a volunteer onboarding and coordination platform that streamlines intake, project matching, and volunteer management for global initiatives in sustainability, health, and education. Create early user flows and wireframes to define platform structure and user experience for both volunteers and organizational coordinators.

  Tested and evaluated AI-generated responses, identifying errors and assessing accuracy, clarity, and alignment with user needs. Analyzed error patterns, ranked and compared AI outputs, and provided justifications to refine model performance, contributing to product improvements based on user-centered feedback.

  Assisted the professor during all class sessions of Ecology & Evolution (200+ students), answering questions and facilitating discussions to enhance student engagement. Conducted weekly tutoring sessions for groups of 10-15 students, helping them achieve a deeper understanding of course material and improve exam scores.

  Conducted in-depth literature reviews on Angelman Syndrome and Smith-Magenis Syndrome, summarizing key findings that identified potential data sources for research integration. Developed and maintained data master sheets to organize and analyze subject data, improving data clarity and revealing gaps in subject representation, which guided future data collection strategies.
