My professional experience includes roles such as Policy Associate at Transparency International, Intern at United Nations Western Europe, Compliance Analyst at Deutsche Bank, Compliance Analyst at Aroundtown SA, and AML Compliance Specialist at BNP Paribas. My responsibilities have included drafting policy positions, conducting research, managing compliance processes, and presenting reports on various risk areas. I have also interned at the Portuguese Electoral Commission, where I conducted research and contributed to the development of regulations.   Drafted a Policy Position on professional gatekeepers with TIs recommendations on their obligations and supervision. Completed a pattern analysis of a financial enabler to provide insight for TIs global partners. Tapped to conduct research related to Financial Action Task Forces (FATF) Recommendation 25 and draft TIs response to FATFs public consultations resulting in the adoption of important changes in how trusts and financial instruments are regulated. Authored TIs commentary on FATFs Public Consultation Risk-Based Guidance to the Real Estate Sector. Wrote letters to global governmental authorities protesting the EU Court of Justice ruling on Beneficial Ownership Transparency which closed the access to beneficial ownership registers. Crafted and disseminated letter templates among TIs chapters to request the G7 REPO task force to release official data on sanctioned individuals and confiscated assets. Supported in grant reporting activity.
