With a Master's Degree in Design Research from the National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi, where she earned a Gold Medal, and further education in Entrepreneurship from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, she has established herself as a leader in UX design and research. Currently the Head of UX Design and Research at UX Gorilla, she has spearheaded projects that have saved millions in product development costs and led successful consumer behavior studies. As a UX Coach, she has designed curricula that have placed alumni in top companies like Google and Adobe. She co-founded Design Jungle, India's largest design community, which also supports social causes. Additionally, she is a UX Design Instructor at Udemy, creating courses that cover a wide range of UX topics. Her diverse background also includes a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Maharshi Dayanand University.

Experience

• Head of UX Design and Research · UX Gorilla01-01-2018

  At UX Gorilla, I and my team helped startups to launch and scale their products. We worked from startups around the world throughout their product development. I led the following functions within the organization: UX Strategy, UX Design, Usability Testing, UX Audit, Corporate Training. Some of the Projects I worked on: Planned and executed end-to-end consumer research for a Singaporean retail fashion brand. Ran experiments, conducted user interviews, and ethnographic studies to validate their initial product line, pivoting it into a more successful one, ultimately saving millions of dollars in product development costs. End to end product development for an Australian Energy company's pilot project with TATA Power for the Indian Rural Population. Headed the product team that built the V1 of the app, overseeing all Design and Research aspects. Planned and executed a consumer behavior study for an Edtech company targeting mothers. The research helped validate their idea and pivot to a new business model, significantly advancing their progress. Started the Training vertical for UX Gorilla.

  Apart from UX and Research, UX Gorilla also offers UX coaching for individuals and organizations who want to become better at creating usable products. UX Immersion program that has Online Classes, Mentor Support, and cohort-based learning. It does not require the students to have a formal degree/ background in design. Designed curriculum helping non-designers secure first jobs in User Experience (UX), with alumni placed at Google, Adobe, Airtel, Lollypop Design, SAP, and National Informatics Centre. B2B coaching where I work directly with organizations in training their Design Teams to help their Product Teams in learning Research methodologies and the role of effective UX. UX Audit with Nielsen Heuristics - Online course that helps the founders, non UXers and UX designers to learn the basic fundamentals of good Design and apply those to create usable products. Master Feedback - This online course is essential for every working professional who has to give and receive feedback as part of their work on a day to day basis. The course covers real examples, tactics and tips to handle crucial and difficult conversation.

  Design Jungle is India's biggest and most active Design Community. Whether you are an aspiring designer, or a professional wanting to network and mentor, Design Jungle is a great place to learn, share and grow. Through Design Jungle we are trying to create dialogue around human-centered design. Under this initiative, we organize workshops, talks, and panel discussions with experts to break the myths surrounding creativity. Our mission is to empower everyone with the tools and skills that can help them to become active agents of change within their own organization. We have used Design Jungle events as an opportunity for raising funds for social causes. The profits from the paid events now go towards gifting wheelchairs to people with disabilities, educating slum children, and feeding the marginalized community.
