🚀 As the second ever designer at Quizizz, I saw it grow from 18M MAU to 80M MAU. In my time here, I contributed to the core product experience, revenue, and using harry potter references instead of lorem ipsum, while leading the Design Systems and Content Platform teams. I also lent a hand in growing the team from 2 to 20, and shaping its culture and rituals. 🛠️ I also like making things; I'm a builder at heart and have no qualms investing 5 hours building something that would bring someone joy, even for 5 minutes. Most recently, I shipped OwenSans, a whimsical find-the-difference game, that caught the attention of Product Hunt CEO Ryan Hoover.

  Quizizz is a teaching platform used by 80 million+ teachers and students in over 150 countries. - Created foundational designs for 9 new question types (the bread and butter of any quizzing platform) and mentoring designers for 4 more, collaborating cross-functionally to increase revenue by 5%+. Each question type spanned anywhere between 6-8 weeks. - Spearheading and maintaining a comprehensive Design System in Figma supporting 15+ designers and 50+ engineers. Each iteration catered to the growing team size and changing pod structures.

  - As the 2nd designer and 16th employee, helped hire and shape the culture and rituals of the design team. - Successfully launched a new paid subscription model, introducing new features and modes of instruction that generated $1M in revenue in <2 months. - Re-designed the Question Editor interface from a form-based approach to a user-friendly WYSIWYG design, streamlining quiz creation.
