Throughout my work with partners in industry, academia, and government, I use data to tell stories and help people do their jobs.   Designed a data tool for public health workers & scientists to track pathogens at travel hubs; Used to find novel SARS-CoV-2 variants. Developed bespoke R pipeline to create dozens of charts weekly for $500K government contract. Created a custom, accessible data viz color system. Organized company-wide talk on data equity, with over 100 participants (virtual).

  Visualized program data to anchor funding applications, including US Census geospatial data. Designed marketing assets, successfully supporting the company in a major brand transition.

  Designed COVID-19 testing instructional graphics for K-12 schools, both visuals and copywriting.

• Research Technician - Interdisciplinary Affective Science Lab · Northeastern University2019-07-01 – 2021-10-01

  Analyzed large multi-dimensional datasets for two federally-funded neuroscience studies. Led teams of 5-10 undergraduates in hands-on lab work and weekly academic lessons. Learned R programming via online tutorials, and then created a learning plan for colleagues. Adapted research protocol to run remotely during the pandemic, and completed data collection.

  Classified hundreds of pandemic data visualizations for a public research tool, COVIC (covic-archive.org).

  Managed three clinical studies end-to-end: interviewed patients, handled physical samples, maintained data, wrote grant and IRB reports, designed recruitment flyers.

  Pitched, edited, and wrote long-form science articles. Recruited new writers and guided them through the writing and editing process. Curated two pages biweekly for publication.
