Nneka M. Okona

About

A journalist and writer for close to two decades, Nneka is skilled in reporting, interviewing and researching to build engaging narratives. Her writing interests include food, travel, the (global) African Diaspora, the American South and history of Black people around the world. Nneka earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, along with a double minor in English and Spanish, from Mercer University in 2008. In December of 2012, she completed a Master of Arts in Professional Writing at Kennesaw State University. She is currently an MFA candidate at Antioch University's Los Angeles with a concentration in creative nonfiction and fiction. Nneka is the author of Self-Care for Grief and The Little Book of Self-Healing. She currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
