Odemi Pessu is an author, artist, and founder of Alaere Lifestyle, a luxury online art gallery, fashion house, and publishing company. Alaere Lifestyle creates and sells exclusive collections of original Afro-feminine contemporary art, art-infused luxury fashion, stationery, and home goods. Odemi Pessu is the Editor-in-Chief of Alaere Manifesto Magazine, a quarterly publication for the bold, intellectual, and style-conscious woman across the African diaspora and beyond. Odemi's first book, Force of Nature, encourages African & indigenous women to honor their divine feminine power for true liberation and decolonization of mind, body, and spirit. It is available in notable bookstores across the US, Europe, and Asia/Oceania. She has forged fruitful partnerships with university departments, hospitality brands, musicians, and galleries since the inception of her creative company. Through harnessing the power of art, literature, and sustainable fashion, Odemi Pessu is uplifting the next generation of beautifully sovereign women artists, lovers, and leaders. Alaere Lifestyle encourages African and Indigenous women across the globe to embrace intellectual curiosity, develop spiritual fortitude, and own their sovereign creative expression for a higher purpose. Odemi earned her Master of Public Affairs at Brown University, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in International Relations concentrating in Political Economy. She was recognized in 2014 by the Georgia House of Representatives with a bipartisan house resolution in her honor. Odemi gives lectures, workshops, and book talks to esteemed audiences. A multi-dimensional visionary, Odemi Pessu is revolutionizing the way art, literature, and purpose-driven business can inspire spiritual elevation in the communities she comes from, and across the globe.
