About
I’m a Year 12 student studying Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Economics, with the goal of pursuing Aerospace Engineering at university. I’m especially interested in rockets and propulsion systems — how thrust is generated, how vehicles behave at extreme speeds, and how aerodynamics fundamentally shapes flight. I find it fascinating how mathematics directly determines whether something can leave the ground, re-enter the atmosphere safely, or remain stable at high velocity. What draws me most to aerospace is the engineering challenge. Designing systems that must operate under extreme heat, pressure and acceleration requires precision, resilience and deep physical understanding. I’m particularly interested in reusable launch systems — how we can improve propulsion efficiency, material durability and develop landing systems to make access to space more cost-effective and efficient. Right now, I’m focused on building strong foundations in mathematics and physics while deepening my understanding of how engineers solve complex problems and apply their knowledge to projects.

Produced a research paper examining modern developments in orbital mechanics. Conducted a literature review focused on five pieces of scientific literature related to orbital mechanics. Examined emerging propulsion concepts in physics including solar sails and space elevators. Evaluated methods of predicting orbital uncertainties, including AI-based approaches.

Built a Mars rover solar panel cleaning prototype which utilized a plough blade and rotating brush cleaning system as part of a team of four. Combined a mechanical design and system, using Arduino-controlled direct current and servo motors, ultrasonic sensors, and two lithium-ion batteries. Manufactured parts using 3D-printed components and standard workshop tools such as drills, sanding equipment, screwdrivers, bolts, and adhesives; assembled the chassis, cleaning mechanism, and integration of components. Worked alongside teammates to enable Python-based remote control of the rover via a website. Authored a standard IEEE report on the design, mechanical components and functionality of the project.

Attended engineering workshops and an aeronautics facility tour. Designed and fabricated a riveted metal enclosure, simulating aircraft structural components, using machinery commonly used in aircraft manufacturing environments. Utilized industrial tools including rivets, hammer, anvil, centre punch, drills, and measuring tools, developing my understanding of structural assembly in aircraft construction. Simulated the role of an aircraft marshaller in an interactive VR program.
