About

Hello, my name is Rebecca Schmidt. I’ve lived in the Austin area my whole life and decided to join the ACC Graphic Design program right after high school. I’ve always been drawn to art, photography, and creative expression, so graphic design felt like the perfect way to bring all of my interests together into something I can build a career around. Throughout my time in the program, I’ve especially enjoyed projects focused on packaging and branding. I love the process of creating visual identities that tell a story and connect with people on an emotional level. Seeing a concept come to life through color, typography, and layout is always rewarding. Outside of school, one of my biggest passions is portrait photography. I enjoy working with different people, experimenting with lighting, and editing my photos to give them a cinematic or storytelling feel. It’s another way I get to explore creativity and visual design. After graduating from ACC, I hope to work with a design agency or in-house creative team where I can continue learning, collaborating, and refining my skills. I also plan to keep developing my photography, taking on more creative shoots, and building a diverse portfolio of work.
