With a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Loyola University New Orleans and a d.MBA, Samia Saleem has built a distinguished career in UX and design. Currently serving as the Senior Director of UX Design at Nike, she has successfully scaled the UX/Design organization and led the creation of the Nike Enterprise Design System. Prior to Nike, Samia was the Head of UX at Unity Technologies, where she managed global teams and enhanced the user experience across Unity's online ecosystem. She also founded aplural, a studio where she consulted for various agencies and startups. Her career includes a stint as Director of User Experience & Design at OneMove, where she focused on developing tools for the moving industry. Samia is known for her ability to integrate design thinking into technology, build world-class teams, and deliver impactful products.

  Standing up a new Design function for the Nike Enterprise. Scaled UX/Design org (from 4 to 30 in a year). Led creation of Nike Enterprise Design System (hired team of Design System Engineers, Design System Designer, and Design Ops and launched in under 8 months). Bringing Design Thinking methodology and approach to Nike Global Technology to build products our users love. Giving Designers a voice at the table (Launching various training and material to show and teach the role Designers play in product and agile). Building a world-class team with exceptional talent and diverse backgrounds. Cross functional player with product and engineering partners. Shipped 20+ MVPs and releases (and counting).

• Head of UX, Live & Digital · Unity Technologies03-01-2020 – 10-01-2020

  Focusing on the user experience across Unity's online ecosystem including, but not limited to, unity.com, Unity Learn, and the Unity Asset Store. Primary responsibilities involved managing a global team of UX/UI Designers, collaborating across organizations to create a thoughtful UX that scales, and finding ways of experimenting with how they introduce products and plans as they evolve their e-commerce infrastructure.
