I’ve spent close to thirty years helping people and organizations tell their stories with clarity and purpose. That theme has followed me through every part of my career. I began in television news, where I learned how to identify the core of a story and share it quickly, even in tough circumstances. That skill shaped the way I worked later in the AEC world. I supported pursuit teams, guided proposal development, and helped architects, engineers, and construction managers explain complex ideas in ways that clients and communities could understand. It was still storytelling, just in a more technical environment. When I moved into the nonprofit sector, the focus shifted again, but the through-line stayed the same. I worked with leaders who needed communication that could support fundraising, partnerships, and program work. Much of that meant helping them create systems that made their messaging clearer and their workload more manageable, especially on small or stretched teams. Today, through The Nonprofit Template Shop, I bring all of those experiences together. I design communication tools and systems that help mission-driven organizations stay consistent and prepared, even when the work moves quickly. I enjoy partnering with teams that care about thoughtful communication and understand how much stronger their work becomes when everyone shares the same message. While entrepreneurship remains an important part of my life, I’m open to leadership roles in the fields that shaped my career, including journalism, the AEC sector, and the nonprofit world. Each setting depends on clear storytelling, practical marketing or communication strategy, and strong collaboration with internal and external partners. That combination is where I do my best work.
