• Principal UI/UX Designer · Interpres Security

  As the sole designer at a pre-seed startup, I architected user-centered, multifaceted experiences by synthesizing user sentiment, impactful business requirements, and technical limitations for their Continuous Threat & Exposure Management / Attack Surface Management product. Developed user flows, wireframes, and prototypes, from low to high fidelity along with detailed specifications referencing a unified design system, expeditiously and iteratively. Utilized strong user-centered design skills and business acumen to turn abstract ideas into exceptional design solutions at scale. Was a strong advocate for nurturing a design-centric culture by sharing best practices, design principles including accessibility, and influencing product strategy.

  Oversaw all of Design across the website, Mobile app, and the Zokio Web3 NFT platform. Led, mentored, and inspired a team of talented designers spread across the Philippines and Canada - fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation. Established & tracked key performance indicators (KPIs) and WIGs to measure the success of UX initiatives.   Operated as a hands-on Head of Design covering all of BlackBerry Cybersecurity & Spark suite of products - played an instrumental role in the company transformation from Enterprise to Cybersecurity - helping shape the 0->1 (zero to one) vision. Collaborated with executive stakeholders to define the UX strategy/vision for multiple product experiences while prioritizing key UX initiatives - identified metrics that measured its success. Championed Design across the company – inclusive design, AAA compliance, and delightful micro interactions. Introduced insight-driven design – conducted extensive user research – fail fast, fail often approach - developed personas, journey maps, and JTBD (jobs to be done) framework leading to outcome-driven innovations and inherent user value. Implemented Figma as our design tool and proper JIRA and Agile scrum process which led to 60% better collaboration between Product, Engineering, and Design. Grew the Design team from 5 to 12 - mentored and created alignment of projects between a global team across the US, Canada, Poland, Ukraine, Argentina, and Columbia – continuous design.

Oversaw design direction for all AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon telecom carrier partner Mobile app offerings - device insurance, warranty & support services for mobile phones, consumer electronics & home appliances.
