With a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, I have transitioned into the field of User Experience Design. Currently, I am a User Experience Designer at DeFiner Labs, a Blockchain Company in Minnesota. My role involves designing the core dashboard for users and conducting UX research for the crypto wallet management. Previously, I have worked as a User Experience Designer at Medical Departures Inc., Oppia Foundation, and as a Freelance Product Designer at Peniel Day Foundation. At Oppia Foundation, I designed the mobile app and worked on a translation feature to make the app more inclusive for kids in underrepresented areas. My experience also includes working as a Student Designer at Perxels. I am passionate about creating meaningful and impactful user experiences and have a strong track record of improving customer retention and download rates through my design work.

Experience

• User Experience Designer · DeFiner Labs01-01-2022

  DeFiner is a Blockchain Company based in Minnesota and it focuses on helping users to limitlessly lend, borrow, and stake any token on the DeFi network. I work with a team of product designers and graphic designers. I am presently a product designer on the team and these are the projects I work/worked on: 1. DeFiner Web App: I play a key role in the design of the core dashboard for users (investors). I also worked with the design leads to totally map out the end-to-end experience for DeFiner HODLer markets V1 which has led to a significant increase in customer retention by 30% from its launch in May 2022. 2. UX Research for the Crypto Wallet Management: I took the initiative and conducted and structured UX research efforts like Wallet experience management and DeFiner Persona Research with customers to make data-driven decisions. I, alongside my teammates, improved the end-to-end experience of the DeFiner Crypto Platform by conducting usability reviews, identifying UX issues, and proposing design recommendations. I also ensured platform-wide consistency through the documentation of use cases and UI elements.

  Oppia is an Education Technology Company based in Lagos, Nigeria. Oppia is a free online learning tool that enables anyone to easily create and share interactive activities (called 'explorations'). Oppias focus is on kids in underrepresented areas and these kids in these areas arent so fluent in English. I was a Founding Product Designer and these are the projects I worked on during my time there: 1. The Oppia Mobile App: I designed the mobile app (Android&iOS) which now has up to 100k+ downloads. I designed the Play/App Store screenshots and which increased the download rate up to 35% 2. The Oppia Translation Feature: I, alongside a UX Researcher and a Product Manager worked on a Translation Feature to help kids that didnt understand English. The feature helps the kids to translate the lessons to their preferred language and this makes the app more inclusive.
