About

With a Master of Science in Human Centered Computing from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, I've taken on the role of User Experience Designer at The HCD Experience. Here, my core competencies in journey mapping, accessible design, and research methods elevate the way digital products meet user needs. Our team's dedication to creating wireframes, prototypes, and designs that are both engaging and accessible is a testament to our commitment to inclusive user experiences. Previously, as a Research Assistant, I honed my skills in participatory design and community engagement, directly contributing to the Hiccup Healthies project aimed at aiding international students. Now, within The HCD Experience, our team is driven by an ethos of empathy and inclusivity, ensuring every design decision is informed by comprehensive user research and usability testing. We're not just designing; we're crafting experiences that resonate with our diverse user base, thanks to the collective insights and expertise of a dedicated team.

I worked as a Research Assistant at Care Labs under the mentorship of Dr. Tera L. Reynolds. Our ongoing project, initiated during the Fall 2023 IS 698 course on Participatory Design and Community Engagement, is titled "Hiccup Healthies."Our team, including myself and Co-PIs Rachael M. Kang and Neel Bhesaniya, seeks to address the challenges faced by international students in understanding and acquiring health insurance in the US. Having started with a successful Fall semester, our goals for the Spring 2024 semester and beyond include developing a prototype app or website, conducting comprehensive research, publishing our findings at reputable venues, and expanding our participant population. With Dr. Reynolds' guidance, we aim to contribute not only to the understanding of health insurance among international students at UMBC but also to highlight technologies that can benefit a broader audience in navigating the complexities of health insurance acquisition.
