How does Pangea's pricing work?

Freelancers set their own rate and keep all of it. Pangea adds a flat 15% on top, and every candidate card shows all three numbers — the talent's rate, the fee, and the all-in total you pay. There are no subscriptions, no placement fees, and no charge for searching, shortlisting, or interviewing.

How fast can I actually hire someone?

Describe the role in the box above and an agent searches Pangea's vetted network straight away, returning a fit-scored shortlist with the evidence behind each match. Flag who you want to meet, they get invited, and interviews book directly onto your calendar — most people go from a first description to booked conversations the same day.

How are freelancers on Pangea vetted?

Profiles are built from real work history and past engagements rather than self-reported résumés, and only complete, currently-active profiles are eligible to be surfaced. Every shortlist explains why each person matched, citing the evidence, so you can judge the reasoning rather than trusting a score.

Can I hire part-time or fractionally?

Yes — most engagements are part-time or project-scoped. You can hire someone for a defined piece of work, for a set number of hours a week, or on ongoing capacity you adjust as the work changes. The terms are agreed directly with the freelancer.

Can I hire someone full-time after working with them?

Yes, and Pangea charges nothing to make the switch. Contract work is often the best way to find out whether someone is right for a permanent role, so there is no conversion fee and no placement fee if you decide to bring them on staff — billing simply stops when the contract ends.

Do I have to talk to a salesperson or a recruiter?

No. There is no sales call, no intake form, and no account manager in the middle. The agent runs the search, the invitations, and the scheduling; you talk to the candidates, not to us.

Can my own AI agent hire through Pangea?

Yes. The same capabilities are exposed as an MCP server with eleven tools, so an agent can search, shortlist, invite, and book on your behalf. The privacy rules are identical — candidate contact information never leaves our servers.
