About

Hi! My name is Alex Melton, and I am excited to be here to share my story with you. I am a creative professional with over a decade of experience in graphic designing, DIY projects, and spatial and experience design. I started my journey in 2013 when I graduated from UCLA with a degree in Design Media Arts (DESMA, IYKYK). I was always passionate about creating art and design, but I also loved to make things with my own hands. So, I started exploring my passion for DIY projects and began creating unique items that I could use in my everyday life. As I gained more experience, I discovered my love for spatial and experience design. I wanted to create experiences that would bring people together through honesty, empathy, and curiosity. I wanted to make designs that were not just visually appealing but also had an emotional and social impact. In 2023, I took the leap and enrolled in a Master's Degree program in Narrative Environments at Central Saint Martins. This program helped me hone my skills and provided me with a platform to explore my creativity. With one year left in my masters, I am super excited about my new adventure in spatial design and can't wait to create unique experiences that encourage people to engage with their surroundings. My goal is to create designs that are not just beautiful but also tell a story. Design is a powerful tool that can shape the way people feel and think. As a designer, I want to use this power to create experiences that bring people together and inspire them. I am looking forward to using my skills and creativity to make a positive impact on the world.   Assisted the marketing team with creative content production. Created original artwork and branding for exhibit marketing. Helped install graphics for exhibits.

  Led a team of two designers to complete weekly deadlines for published paid advertising. Mapped weekly paper to maximize both editorial and advertising space. Touch-point for printing vendor and responsible for publishing schedule. Weekly advertising design for paid clients and internal marketing. Interdepartmental communications and client handling.
