About

I'm an Emmy-nominated producer who's spent 15 years at the intersection of culture, content, and what's next. I help brands understand cultural shifts and turn them into stories that connect. My superpower? Spotting trends before they're trends. I launched MTV's digital platforms (MTV Style, Soundtrack) when everyone else was still focused on TV. I was building influencer networks at ICON Network before "influencer marketing" was even a term. At Fuse, I turned Big Freedia's final season into a $2.5M earned media moment by activating partnerships from BET Awards to DragCon. Through my consultancy 5 Rising Media, I work with talent, brands, and production companies to develop content that feels culturally relevant because it actually is. I've partnered with Dallas Austin on branded content for Virgin Galactic, consulted for Page Six Media's lifestyle slate, and helped management firms identify and develop emerging talent. The through-line in everything I do—from producing Emmy-nominated courtroom TV to designing interiors for celebrity clients—is making things that tell authentic stories. I source unique pieces, connect with skilled craftspeople, and create experiences that reflect people's real lives, not aspirational fantasies. I'm looking for collaborations where cultural insight meets creative execution. If you're a brand trying to reach multicultural audiences authentically, a creator ready to scale, or a production company developing the next thing everyone will be talking about, let's talk.

  • Head of Development · 5 Rising Media2010-01-01 –

5 Rising Media is my consultancy, and through it I’ve developed and produced multiple unscripted TV and digital series. I’ve pitched and sold projects to Leftfield Pictures and Ish Entertainment, Hearst Media Group, Condé Nast and Ish Entertainment for a talent holding deal at BET. Because of my strong background in digital content strategy, I was brought on by Page Six Media to consult on their new lifestyle slate and produced 6 shorts for their platform. I’ve also worked closely with musician and film producer Dallas Austin to manage his slate of 15 projects and successfully sold a branded content pilot to Virgin Galactic and produced multiple digital shorts for the GRAMMY foundation. Similarly, I worked with management company Society Pictures to source IP that would interest their roster of talent and created a development slate of talent vehicles for them.

  • Founder + Principal Designer · Amaysing Design Co.2019-01-01 –

In addition to my work as a producer, I run my own interior design business. One of my hobbies is making furniture, and remodeling houses. After consulting for a real estate developer for a couple of years, the CEO of a wellness brand, saw some of my personal designs through a mutual friend and hired me to design his new house. That led to additional projects, including Lena Waithe’s home remodel and the Hillman Grad Productions office redesign. For these projects, I traveled to West Africa to source unique pieces, collaborated with artists to create murals, craftspeople to create bespoke furniture, and worked closely with my clients to make sure their space told the story they wanted it to tell. I loved exploring my creative side in this new way and found that many of the skills I’ve used as a producer – storytelling, talent management, research, logistics, vendor relationships, trendspotting – apply to this space as well.

  • Creative Executive, ICON Network · Endemol Shine Group2014-01-01 – 2016-01-01

ICON Network was a partnership between influencer Michelle Phan and Endemol, the first talent-led multi-channel network dedicated to premium lifestyle content. MCNs had a unique model, where the channels maintained a roster of influencers for revenue share partnerships from their content and cast the same influencers in their own slate of originals. ICON took this to the next level by simultaneously developing properties for international and linear distribution. In my role, I created the content rollout strategy, collaborating with Michelle and Endemol executives to plan a programming schedule for 60 original series. I also secured influencer partnerships by identifying up-and-coming influencers whose voices blended well with Michelle’s and could bring the channel’s series to life.
