  I joined Ali Abdaal's team as a script writer for his YouTube channel. I'd been a long-time subscriber and was ready to explore more of the creator economy after helping clients build their personal brand as a freelancer. This role asked me to research, pitch and develop new ideas for the YouTube channel, as well as getting involved in other areas of the business like course writing and press events. This quickly evolved into community management, where I built a Discord server of 10k to engage with Ali's closest fans and contributed to his social media strategy.

  In 2 years of streaming on Twitch, I built a following of 1.2k and a Discord community of 400 people. I was able to monetise my content and work part-time. Twitch taught me how to engage a community long-term, consistently experiment, and built my storytelling skills. I credit Twitch for being able to talk anyone's ear off.
