Projects like Balanced Score Card and ABC costing under the supervision of the CEO Gabriel Pinochet and our external coach Victor Dezerega, Administration Kaizen and others were the main focus of my experience as CIO I was an part of the team send to Europe to evaluated solidification software use to simulate aluminum solidification process, this project lead to the first mold for aluminum wheels cool by waterthis project was never put in production due to political condition in our country.

  During my years as IT manager, our plant went true a deep technology update, migrating from our LAN base from coaxial cables with one desktop per functional area to fiber optic network with over 70 desktop and 3 servers on the initial Phase, and our addition to the Reynolds Metal global IT network with base in Reston Virginia USA. This project included, Last mile communication, work with a local communication provider to install the infrastructure (antenna tower) and the computer room for all communication equipment, under Reynold metals IT standards. LAN with over 200 assesses point, to serve our plant floor and administration building. As a part of the project the team was also in charge of the hardware selection to meet corporate standards. Network software, as a Reynolds metals standards I oversee the BAYAN VINES, this was one of the firsts implementation of the unix base operating system in Venezuela. Another significant moment during this time was the migration from legacy software to more commercial software. During that time I was in charge of the implementation of a payroll, financial software and specific applications use to control y overview foundry operations. The last project that I was in charge of supervising during my time as IT manager was ERP implementation; this was my first experience leading a multitasking team. Corporate selected MFG pro of QAD out of California to be standard for the corporationI was in charge of all the phases of the project, selection of the team members, Selection of hardware, selection and hiring of external support and kick off.
