About
I believe stories sell, and people buy from people they like... so here is my story; maybe you'll like it It all started as a young boy; I loved playing in the dirt with my toy trucks, playing Beyblades with my neighbor, and sports... lots and lots of sports. Basketball quickly became my passion, and I'd watch Vince Carter, Tracy Mcgrady, and Kobe Bryant. I'd be dunking on anything I could, lowering my hoop as low as it could go and slowly inching up. (Side story, I'm only 5' 8 and dunked on a 10ft hoop one day. Dream big, kids!) But above everything, Kobe was my favorite... I looked up to him for his level of discipline, work ethic, and willingness to take full accountability for everything. Including many of his failures and final game-winning shots that didn't go... what's that saying again by Michael Jordan? Oh ya... I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed. Well, I took this level of self-accountability to heart as I grew older. It was challenging; I went on to compete in track in college, where I pole vaulted & did the decathlon. I again became equally obsessed with the process and the journey of day-in and day-out work and grind. During that time, I had multiple surgeries, went through three different university's, and failed classes numerous times that I needed to qualify for a doctorate program in Physical Therapy (another direction I thought I should have gone, but inevitably it was just a part of the story). So after all of this, being obsessed with basketball, then track, trying my hand at becoming an adult, and going into physical therapy... it all failed. Would you happen to know why? Because it was only temporary, just like all of this, we're not meant to do anything forever. We're meant to build genuine connections in life. The failures are just a piece of what is needed as a deposit to withdraw the growth we need for the next phase of life. That next phase for me... was rough for a minute. I worked temp jobs and networked like a madman trying to find my purpose and, ultimately, landed in a start-up where I found a new passion for building businesses with exceptional people. I've now grown skills like: - Sales process development - Assisting in exiting a start-up - Managing AE's - Creating quotas - And most important, how to manage & encourage people with compassion So if you love sports, the outdoors, start-ups, or wanna share your story. I want to hear it! Let's connect!
