Hello! My name is Mya Lampley. I am a rising senior at Wellesley College double-majoring in English & creative writing and cinema & media studies. The Black Phoenix is my artistic brand that I started in 2022 where I offer photography services in fine art, portraiture, and sports and other events. I am also a 3x self-published author in science fiction and poetry. I am extremely passionate about storytelling through digital media as well as using it to connect with others.

Experience

• Director of Photography for Summer Iconic: Memory Maker Challenge by Boston Baby Photos · Boston Baby Photos06-01-2023 – 08-01-2024

  Over the summer of 2023 and again in 2024, I assisted Boston Baby Photos in capturing video and in post-production for the development of an online course that teaches parents how to take professional-like photos of their young children.

• Sports Photographer/Videographer · Wellesley College09-01-2023

  I currently work as a sports photographer and/or videographer for the athletics department of Wellesley College. I work home games during the academic year, and for games I photograph, I also provide edited photos.

• Photo/Video Cage Assistant · Wellesley College09-01-2023

  I currently work as an assistant in the photo/video rental equipment space at Wellesley College which services equipment to students and faculty of art, photo, and video production. I manage the tracking of equipment rentals and returns through R&R booking system.
