I am Nisarg, a mixed-method UX Researcher. My approach uniquely blends UX Research with Human Psychology and Behavior, driving insights that transcend conventional boundaries. What, Why, and How are my three key tools that help me identify complex problems, and I rely heavily on these three words. To find the answers for complex questions, I asks more questions. I strongly believe that every person has a story to tell, and understanding these stories simply requires careful observation and listening. This approach is the best way to identify the challenges they face. With a deep passion for human behavior and psychology, coupled with my expertise in UX Research, I am adept at uncovering insights that users might not explicitly express. Uncovering challenges that go untold by users is my unique strength. This ability enables me to conduct research that is not only thorough but truly impactful, paving the way for genuinely human-centric designs.

  Building a product to leverage data for market success. Making every harvest count. Published in ACM CHI Conference 2024 (acceptance rate: 28%). Featured in AgFunder News, Central Indiana Corporate Partnership(CICP), Inside Indiana Business, Agrinovus Indiana. Accepted into the gBeta accelerator program for early startups (acceptance rate: 16%). Winner of HungerTech Innovation Challenge 2023. Received $25,000 to further develop the product.

• Research Assistant · Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis08-01-2022 – 04-01-2024

  Worked on designing studies which investigate human psychology and cognition in Human-Robot Interaction. Conducted both primary research and desk research, and collaborated with a cross-functional team of data scientists, designers to build a product called 'social network machine' to analyze human behavior. Worked in Crisis Technology Innovation Lab(CTIL) as Research assistant. Conducting research work focusing on finding how new UX Concepts with the Mixed Reality(MxR) and Brain-Computer Interaction can help users, especially first responders. Collaborated with Data scientists to build a Social Media machine to connect and support influential people and tele-critical care people in times of crisis. Recruited 5 medical professionals and led the contextual inquiry sessions with them to understand their pain points.

  Conducted the UMUX Usability Benchmarking Research with 30 participants to evaluate the user experience of an autonomous vehicle system. Executed video diary studies and quantitative research analysis after leading the recruitment of 26 different kinds of participants including older and disabled participants through a screener survey using platforms like dscout and UserInterviews.com. Collaborated with Uber to measure the end-to-end user experience of the riders riding in autonomous robotaxi. Led the research project with 33 users on understanding User Behavior while giving star ratings to their rideshare experience. Responsible for moderating the research sessions of 17 participants using the dscout platform.

  Spearheaded generative research for a media company, using user interviews and surveys to restructure revenue-generating user journeys, actionable insights resulted in a 20% increase in customer retention. Directed the usability research with A/B testing & T-Test, advocated research findings to redesign the e-commerce website, resulting in a 30% boost in user satisfaction. Led the research phase of a complete design to development lifecycle and communicated research findings, improved the SUS score by 25%, and reduced the bounce rate by 15%.
