I’ve spent 30+ years inside organisations - learning what makes them brilliant and what breaks people along the way. The truth? Most companies treat people as resources to extract from. They recruit with red carpets, then exit them like deleting files. And everyone wonders why burnout is an epidemic. I walked away from corporate when they offered me Head of European Communications. I politely declined. Because the climb had cost me everything. My energy. My boundaries. My belief that work could be different. So I created something better. The Human Energy Exchange is my foundation for organisations ready to stop extracting from people and start exchanging value fairly. I work as a Fractional Retained Leader with UK startups, SMEs, and scale-ups (1-2 days/week) who need strategic internal communications and culture expertise without the full-time overhead. I also serve as a Non-Executive Director for organisations wanting board-level insight on culture transformation, employee engagement, and navigating change—especially during M&A or rapid growth.
