With a robust educational foundation in engineering, including a Master of Applied Science in Oil and Gas Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering, I have cultivated a diverse career in both the public and private sectors. My professional journey began with a focus on capital project execution at TransCanada, and subsequently in various technical and leadership roles where I ensured the efficient delivery of projects, securing both the Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Scrum Master (CSM) designations. Transitioning to the political arena, I served as the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Premier and various Ministers at the Government of Alberta, where I contributed to policy development and strategic planning. I also served as Campaign Manager for the United Conservative Party of Alberta, orchestrating campaign strategies and operations at the 2023 provincial general elections. I am currently the Principal at Xacta Projects Inc. providing project management consulting services. My background also includes a formative education at the Nigerian Military School Zaria, which instilled discipline and leadership skills that have been instrumental throughout my career.

  Role: Led project control and responsible for managing overall project budget and schedule for $90 million facilities construction program for TC Energy Saddle West NGTL expansion program. Responsibilities: • Developed and maintained project schedule, cost, progress measurement and tracking tools. • Captured changes in scope of work, update schedule/cost estimates to reflect revisions, implementing change management and managing change orders to completion. • Monitored and reported on the progress of all project activities, with emphasis on impacts on project cost or schedule, communicating results to senior leadership. • Reviewed all subcontractor contracts and led negotiations with sub-contractors, identifying and implementing cost savings to project and approving all purchase orders/invoices.

  Role: As Project Manager for shop fabrication, I managed design, procurement, shop fabrication, testing and shipping of processing skids and pressure vessels for oil & gas, petrochemical and mining operations. Responsibilities: • Reviewed specifications and drawings for constructability input into budget development and bids. • Responsible for review of construction/fabrication cost, estimates, budgets, forecasts, and schedules. • Led coordination of project logistics, procurement, planning, scheduling, and other personnel in setting and maintaining priorities to ensure project schedule is maintained and budget risk minimized. • Oversaw system Quality Control documentation, project turnover and commissioning.

  Role: Led design and construction of green and brownfield facilities projects as part of TransCanada’s gas gathering and transportation system. Responsibilities: • Supervised project design such that technical scoping, performance of design work and change management of design was implemented according to Engineering standards, specifications and codes. • Coordinated members of project team through project initiation, design, procurement, contracts review, land acquisition, permitting and construction planning. • Reviewed quality of engineering deliverables and organized project reviews, model reviews, lessons learned sessions, HAZID and HAZOP. • Managed entire Procurement cycle, through; RFQ/P, technical bid evaluation, award recommendation, contract issuance, vendor documentation processes, third party inspections and logistics. • Monitored construction activities and proactively led the resolution of technical, contract, schedule and cost related issues. • Acted as the site Quality coordinator, ensuring construction completed according to Company’s project specifications, Engineering standards, regulatory requirements and all applicable codes.
