With a degree in Graphic Design and Visual Communication from Escuela Da Vinci, and additional training in entrepreneurship and technology, I have honed my skills in product design and user experience. As the Head of Product Design at Andela, I lead a team to create exceptional user experiences and drive innovation. Previously, as the Senior Design Director at Mode: Communication. Secured., I developed a secure messaging and video calling application. My experience also includes roles at Toptal, where I led community growth and worked as a senior designer and screener. As a co-founder of Ideas que fluyen, I led a team of multidisciplinary professionals in creating innovative solutions. My diverse experience, from collaborating with global clients to training entrepreneurs, has shaped me into a versatile and strategic design leader.

  Design leader focused on quickly executing my plan to create a world-class Product Design team, collaborating with all business units and other stakeholders to create amazing and delightful experiences. As Head of Product Design, my main goal is to ensure a consistent user experience across all our B2B and B2C products, evangelize Design as a key differentiator for the company, define UX Department performance indicators, keep innovation and speed to market at the forefront, and combine qualitative and quantitative user research to discover key insights about our customers and users to shape the Andela experience.

  As a Senior Design Director, I worked on the design of a messaging, video calling and file sharing application backed by post-quantum encryption. This included co-creating a product roadmap with the founders of the company, establishing objective goals and key results which included signup conversions, user engagement and other key metrics. In addition to managing a team of designers, I collaborated closely with a team of engineers to design features that were technically feasible and consistent with the brands style guide.

  In 2015, I was fortunate to join the Toptal network as a Senior Product Designer, which gave me the chance to collaborate with clients from around the world on a variety of projects. By combining my expertise in User Interface and User Experience, I was able to create successful solutions for both mobile and desktop platforms, leading to the successful completion and delivery of nine projects. One year after being accepted, the Toptal core team presented me with the opportunity to become a design screener. The purpose of this position was to evaluate designers from all over the world, while establishing the criteria that would only allow the most qualified applicants to be accepted.
