With a Master of Information in User Experience Design from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Wilfrid Laurier University, I am a seasoned UX Designer with a diverse background. Currently, I lead product design at the University of Guelph, focusing on tools for cultural researchers. My experience includes a co-op role at the same institution, freelance projects like launching a mentorship platform for Boys Who Write, and a stint at ERPVision where I developed a digital flyer app. Additionally, I have a rich history in music, having studied abroad at the University of Birmingham and served as an Assistant Student Conductor for the Grand River New Horizons Band. My expertise spans user research, visual design, and cross-functional collaboration, making me adept at enhancing user experiences across various platforms.

  Currently leading product design of 2 key milestone tools on a grant-funded project, building tools to support cultural researchers via linked open data. Spearheaded summative and evaluative qualitative user research with academic researchers and students, identifying pain points and areas of opportunities. Collaborated closely with developers and stakeholders to prioritize and ship key features. Organized and facilitated design workshop sessions across 3 teams to generate solutions to enhance the overall user experience.

  Worked as a UX Designer (Co-op) contributing to the design and development of tools to support cultural researchers. Conducted user research, collaborated with developers, and facilitated design workshops.

  Partnered with Boys Who Write (BWW) organization to launch a mentorship platform for middle school boys. Defined the project vision through a user-centred service strategy, mapping it into an 8-step journey. Led the visual design of the platform interface UI and website landing page. Conducted in-depth user research with 20 participants across the United States to gain insights into user behaviours, pain points, and preferences.

  Led the research, design, and evaluation for a proof-of-concept of a digital flyer app that personalizes deals for shoppers, initiating the development of an MVP within 2 months. Implemented wireframes and mockup prototypes in a fast-paced environment in a cross-functional team of 4.
