In that role, I helped the company launch its Social Media Strategy/Management service.     The Connected Learning Alliance (CLA) is a network of organizations, individuals, and projects that envisions a world where all young people have equitable access to learning opportunities that are social, participatory, driven by personal needs and interests, and oriented toward educational, civic and economic opportunity. The CLA supports the expansion of this network through shared projects, partnerships and infrastructure that seek to make Connected Learning opportunities available to all young people. As Community Manager, I initiated and maintained goodwill about the CLA and its mission.     Corinthian Colleges, Inc. was a for-profit education company that operated 100 brick-and-mortar campuses and an Online division across three brands and two countries. As the in-house Social Media Specialist, some of my responsibilities included, but were not limited to: * 2-time "Innovation Award" winner within the Marketing department. * Grew and managed fledgling social media & online community efforts (3 brands in 2 countries) that saw Follower/Subscriber/Fan/Member counts go from under 2,000 to over 30,000. * Was key part of establishing a companywide Social Media Policy and ensuring all 100+ North American campuses--as well as the Online division--were empowered to enforce it. * Pitched and successfully created an internal social media resource website, which received high praise from Marketing executives. * Grew and managed online communities (Facebook, Twitter, WordPress, MySpace, etc.) that spanned three brands in two countries. * Provided timely technical social media support for over 100 ground campuses, as well as Online division. * Developed brand sentiment scoring system within Radian6 to produce customized monthly reports for CMO and other Marketing executives. * Led training of Call Center employees to assist with Radian6 sentiment scoring and social media management.
