  Worked as the first web-centered marketing hire owning all inbound web-based leads, marketing properties, analyst relations, and product marketing launches. I led market intelligence due diligence through our Series A raise, oversaw Gartner (and other) analyst relations leading to “Cool Vendor” placement, helped stand up our integrated marketing approach, and owned content across our funnel.   I was the first marketing hire for a deeply technical series of AI products at Diffbot. In this role I evangelized technical and non-technical uses of AI, NLP, and market intelligence products. I built out test drives, data visualizations, and technical how-to’s, and owned web-facing properties. Accomplishments: Proved digital creators were a viable consumer profile Doubled established organic traffic YoY twice Built out the most authoritative collection of knowledge graph-related content online Revamped web properties to increase conversion Drove adoption of web scraping and AI-enabled market intelligence tools with hands-on tutorials and starter projects for students, data teams, and marketers Found ways to market internal highly technical resources to support partnerships and hiring Built the largest family tree of Game of Thrones by scraping thousands of pages of a GoT wiki and parsing relationships with NLP API.

  My career began as a freelance data journalist, helping to craft hundreds of infographics – at the height of infographics as link building assets – from 2013-2015. These engagements soon developed into site management roles leading content and front end web development for a range of niche affiliate marketing blogs. Over time I began to create my own properties including many of the top affiliate marketing blogs for higher education, coding bootcamps, CBD, among other niches. Spent plenty of time “in the trenches” and led a team of up to 20 marketers.
